Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Brooklyn is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Brooklyn is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

As a Taiwanese person, I am incredibly picky about Taiwanese food, but this new spot absolutely nails the authentic flavors of home! You can tell from my photo that we practically licked the plates clean. Everything we ordered was incredibly comforting and hit exactly the right spot. Here is what we got: * Cuttlefish Balls: Nicely fried and tender, ask for more pepper salt and it's perfect. * Chicken Cutlet: Crispy coating is the best I've had in a while, meat is 4/5 tender. * Braised Pork Rice (Lu Rou Fan): The ultimate comfort food. The pork was perfectly fatty and savory, melting right into the rice. As you can see, I devoured almost the entire bowl before remembering to take a picture! * Beef Noodle Soup: A fantastic, deeply flavorful dark broth with tender cuts of beef and great noodles. * Fried Pork Chop (Pai Gu): Crispy, golden, bone-in perfection. It had that distinct, nostalgic Taiwanese five-spice marinade that is so hard to get right, but they nailed it. * Braised Appetizers (Lu Wei): The braised egg, dried tofu, and seaweed were marinated to perfection, soaking up all that rich, savory soy broth. A must-have side dish for any Taiwanese meal. If you are looking for genu

Iβm so happy they opened a location in Brooklyn , NY! Parking was not an issue and they have trains nearby. The service was excellent and everyone was friendly. I love their jasmine milk bubble tea and their beef noodle soup was amazing. My hubby loved their braised pork belly rice and taiwanese sausage. Iβll definitely come back!

New Yuan is Here Taiwanese culinary has just opened in Brooklyn, and itβs absolutely worth a visit! π§π π₯’ The restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, beautifully decorated with traditional lanterns that make the space feel warm and inviting. We ordered drinks and tried the Jasmine Bubble Milk Tea and Winter Melon Tea. Both drinks were refreshing, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. For appetizers, we enjoyed the Popcorn Chicken and Taiwanese Sausage both were delicious and full of flavor. For our main dishes, we had the Braised Beef Noodle Soup, one of Taiwanβs most iconic comfort foods, and the Formosa Stir fried Rice. Everything was fresh, satisfying, and incredibly tasty. The service was friendly, attentive, and we had such a wonderful time! If youβre looking to discover authentic Taiwanese cuisine in Brooklyn, make sure to add this new restaurant to your listβ¨
